Sara Continenza, Founder and President, is a passionate individual seeking to make a difference, starting at the grassroots level. Her educational background includes a B.A. in English, B.S. in Human Development & Family Science from The Ohio State University, and a Master of Public Administration with a certificate in Nonprofit Management from Cleveland State University. Sara currently serves as Ward 3 Councilwoman in South Euclid, Ohio. With over 25 years of community outreach experience in 3 different countries, over 6 years of experience in nonprofit and program management, and over 6 years of grant writing experience, Sara will passionately breathe life and imagination into your community work.
Amanda Kozak, Director of Social Enterprise, is passionate about correcting social, racial, cultural and health inequities. Amanda has 15 years of experience in business development, marketing, management and small business ownership in the areas of risk management, community healthcare and food. She has developed curriculum and taught adults and children about the importance of localizing food systems and has taught physical fitness, art and basic nutrition and cooking classes to preschool through elementary school aged children. Amanda has an A.A.S degree from Cuyahoga Community College, completed the Cleveland Civic Leadership Institute program and holds an NCCA accredited ACE fitness certification. Her special interests include local food, health, environment, animal rights, and woman/ minority leadership and rights.
Chris Chaney, Resident Botanist and School Garden Coordinator, is passionate about engaging youth in horticulture through the design and installation of interactive gardens that cultivate excitement and nutrition in students and the community at large. Chris began his foray into botany over 15 years ago through foraging wild foods while working in the foodservice industry. He earned a B.S. in Botany from Kent State University and has an established career as a Northeast Ohio naturalist. He is currently completing an M.S. in Biology at The University of Akron. Chris has experience in hydroponic greenhouse management, organic agriculture and horticulture, landscape design and installation, botanical surveys, and landscape assessments.
